Memory Cycle

This short film piece dispenses with any narrative as it focuses on the dreamer’s dream and the ambiguity of describing a person’s waking reality and dream state. Making reference to Film Noir and German Expressionist film “The Cabinet of Dr Cagliari” 1919. Using the element of shadow to exaggerate the emotional tension as well as a glimpse of the individual beyond themselves.

“Sounds grow out of silence, but not as significant events enlivening nothingness. Sounds are woven into memory”

( Excerpt from David Toop’s book “Haunted Weather”)
